...Halle Berry.
Where do I begin? I'm going to try not to spend that much time on this because I don't want to direct my hate towards a person, because I really don't hate Halle Berry, just all the things she gets and what people think of her. I don't understand why people think she is so good looking. I think she is a very normal looking woman, especially by Hollywood’s standards. Now, I don't think one has to be beautiful to be in movies, but I'm just upset with how many guys are drooling over her. I recently found out from the reliable source of E! that one of the bond girls was a transsexual. In the film For Your Eyes Only starring Roger Moore as our sex crazed, possibly STD infected hero(I love Bond, but come on; SNL did a great skit on that) was the film that featured a one Caroline Cossey, formerly known as Barry Cossey.

Yeah that's her.. err him. Anyways, my long point in showing you this is simple. I choose Caroline Cossey over Halle Berry. There I said it.
I really don't like her acting either. She's so hard to watch on screen, I almost feel bad for her. Knowing this, and also being someone who did see the film Monster's Ball, I can honestly say I believe she was given an Oscar because she is black.
Let's go over the clues:
(It's the night of the 74th annual Academy Awards...)
Denzel Washington is nominated for Actor in a leading role in the film Training Day. Denzel had previously been nominated for the same award, once in 1992 for the film Malcolm X and also in 1999 for the film The Hurricane. Many believed he deserved the award for Malcolm X and others, as myself thought whole heartedly he probably deserved it for The Hurricane, although Kevin Spacey probably deserved it as well for American Beauty. So because of all this, many are thinking Denzel is getting his due tonight.
Secondly, we so happen to have Sidney Poitier, the first African American to win the same award Denzel is nominated for, in the audience to be awarded an honorary award tonight. The academy would tell you this is simply a coincidence; I believe differently.
So the night goes on, poitier is given his award, and guess who wins best actor? Denzel Washington.. now don't get me wrong, I think he's an incredible actor and as I stated previously, deserved an Oscar in my opinion for The Hurricane. I don't think he deserved it over Russell Crowe for his work in A Beautiful Mind though.
So what's left? Oh that's right, nominated for Actress in a leading role is none other than Halle Berry, who goes on to win it and become the first woman of African descent to win the award. She goes on to cry all over her microphone and then beg for more time because "we've waited so long." Please, no one cares that you won it now. Equality isn't an issue anymore, even if you are a woman. Actually, the fact that you're a woman is another factor, considering there are significantly less prominent female actors today than there are male actors. Not sure why that is, and I'm not saying it's because men are better than women, which goes without saying. But come on, she beat out Renee Zellweger for Bridget Jones’s Diary and Nicole Kidman for Moulin Rouge. Nothing against Sissy Spacek or Judi Dench for not mentioning them, I just simply didn't see those movies, which I'm sure their performances outdid anything Halle Berry can muster any day.
So all in all, I really can't stand Halle Berry. I believe with all my heart the Academy gave her an award based solely on her race and their hopes at better ratings. African Americans (another term I've grown to hate) or more properly Blacks don't have anything to worry about in the film industry anymore. We have great black actors and actresses in the industry today. Halle Berry is simply not one of them.

P.S. - I'm so glad she's not going to be in X3.
OK, now you may comment Ryan...

I agree. Halle Berry is not nearly as good looking as everyone thinks she is. She is constantly hyped up as being so hot when there are much better looking women in Hollywood or just the world in general. That's been bothering me forever but there was never anyone to talk about it before becuase everyone thinks she's hot. But now I know that you feel the same way. Awesome.
I also agree with parts of the Denzel Washington statement. He is an amazing actor but Training Day was definately not his best work and Russell Crowe's performance deserved an oscar in A Beautiful Mind.
That's kind of disturbing about the Bond Girl too.
