...Basketball. Oh do I hate this sport, if you can even call it that. Let's see if I can summarize what takes place.

Man takes ball down the court. Passes ball to someone. He passes to someone. That man shoots and scores.

Other team's ball.

Man takes it down the court. Passes ball. Takes it in and dunks it.

Other team's ball.

Man takes ball down...

Apparently this happens for 48 more minutes, over, and over, and over again. How is this exciting to people? Seriously, it might be the most popular sport. People just love to watch these guys run up and down the court with this ball and score, repeatedly. The only variance in this game is if they don't score, which only makes the game even less interesting. Now, I played basketball in high school, and I do understand there is some strategy involved in creating plays, but they all have the same premise; to score a measly two points, or if you're lucky, three points. Woo hoo! How can this be a sport when scoring happens so often? This doesn't happen in other sports. Even in soccer, where the premise is very similar in that they run back and forth on the field with a ball, they don't score every time. This makes scoring so much more important. The same goes obviously for football and baseball. Scoring doesn't happen every minute or so, so when a team does score, it has meaning. The whole game in basketball doesn't really matter. The only part that makes a difference is the last half of the fourth quarter. They should call it, basketball, and 42 minutes of sheer boredom, guaranteed to make you get out of your seat.. to go to the bathroom, or concession stand, or kill yourself, etc.
